This section records the changes from version 2.1 onwards. Release notes for versions earlier than the current one may refer to changes that have been superseded.
The PROSIM Help Text has been updated and revised, and moved online. This browser-based document supersedes the 'stand-alone' User Guide, which is now dropped.
The mechanism for activating valid copies of PROSIM has been changed to use a licence key code, instead of the user having to copy over a licence key file.
PROSIM now installs into a version-specific folder, so that the previous version is not overwritten. This assists the process of parallel testing between PROSIM releases.
It is now possible, when setting a new model scenario, to define relationships between responses, such as "Yield=100-(StartingMaterial+Impurity).
Removed/replaced the Microsoft component fm20.dll, which was previously required by PROSIM, but which Microsoft not longer support for distribution
Fixed bug which caused calculation error if the orders were changed of both the Factors and the Responses
Fixed bug within Global Parameters which incorrectly
allowed only 100 rows. 100 is now the default, but the actual number may be
varied by the Lead User.
The PROSIM Help Text has been updated and revised. The text detailing the terms and conditions of the Software Licence is also now accessible via the Help menu. The Help for PROSIM is also now available as a separate ‘stand-alone’ User Guide.
You can now ‘patch & zoom’ in and out of the ranges of the factor settings.
With Lead User rights, the ranges of the factor settings may now be widened, within the overall limits for the model as set by a Super User. There is also a facility to save the changes or to set the current ranges back to their default setting.
You can import a design into PROSIM and choose not to include or vary the ranges of certain factors in the design listed by the Model Scenario. In such cases, you are prompted to choose default settings for those factors not listed in their imported design, but listed in the Model Scenario.
You may choose a different order for the list of factors in the Model Scenario – and also for the responses. For example, for a specific Model Scenario PROSIM may list the factors in the order Temperature, Time, Solvent and Reagent, while you may wish to order them Solvent, Temperature, Reagent, Time.
The View Results Table now has a Delete Row function, as well as being able to delete/amend/edit results in the table. A simple copy & paste function is available for results to and from other packages.
You can now run an experiment automatically for a specified number of times.
The range of functions available to each User is clarified below.

With Super User rights, you can specify the relation of one response to another using constants, and the +, -, * and / operators (e.g. Yield = 100 – Start Material – Impurity).
The variation is the results that the user sees when they repeatedly run the same settings of the factors depends on which settings they choose, which in turn depends on the Model Scenario selected. A new table has been added to the model coefficients so that, with Super User rights, you can now specify and add to the factors coefficients that relate to the standard deviation of the Noise.
